Canon Philippines Nationwide Photowalk Challenge 2019

Canon,Delighting You Always!

Truly a delightful day for everyone who joined the Canon Philippines Nationwide Photowalk Challenge – 28 September 2019. This is the first-ever Nationwide PhotoWalk Challenge in partnership with the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF) before the kick-off of the much-awaited Canon Photo Marathon 2019 on October 19 which will happen at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall Arena in Pasay City.

This Nationwide Photowalk Challenge was opened to all photographers, professionals and enthusiasts like, from any camera club with at least ten (10) members here in the Philippines. (Contest mechanics here.)

There are 31 camera clubs with 380 photographers from 27 different locations around the Philippines who participated on this much awaited event.

I’m fortunate that I was able to join the Alpha Camera Club (ACC) a very big thanks to Brian of FPPF, Kris Salvador and Cris Cleofas of  ACC.

Call time of ACC was 7am in Polland Restaurant in Escolta, Manila.
I went there this morning by riding a Jeepney and the LRT. I met 10 members of ACC and we had breakfast while waiting the announcement of the theme of the photowalk. After the breakfast, we had a group shot in the middle of Escolta bridge :D. Then after receiving the photowalk theme, we divided into 2 groups and planned to meet around 1130am.

Here’s the theme and settings of the Canon PH Nationwide Photowalk Challenge.

After walking under the scorching heat of the sun and taking different photos suited for the theme, we had our lunch at Sincerity Restaurant and Cafe along Yuchengco St., Binondo, Manila. We had Fried Oyster Cake, Fried Rice, Pancit, Crispy Chicken and Halo-halo to fill our tummy after a tiring but enjoyable photowalk.

At 13:00hr after our lunch, the group decided to go at Four Seasons Riviera at Muelle dela Industria St. and expecting to have an experience of the Philippines version of The Venetian Grand Canal. We saw something different, Kids jumping into the Pasig River from an old and dilapited ship.

We spent almost an hour in the ship, talking with the kids, clicking our shutter to catch the best jumps, dives and back-flips.

A whole day of fun, excitement and full of learnings after joining the first ever Canon PH Nationwide Photowalk in partnership with the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF).

(I will still edit the photos and video montage for this event.)
